The storyline of the game 

After destroying her genie powers Shantae is adjusting to living her life as a normal human being. But one morning Shantae and her friends found out that their city is taken over by Ammo Baron. This person soon arrests Shantae and her friends and reveals himself as the new mayor of the city. After returning home Shantae encounters Risky boots who accuses her of stealing his belongings. 

Soon they found out that it’s the doing of Risky’s former captain Pirate Master. Who is trying to revive himself by using dark and evil powers? Gameplay with new additions
