Lumione

Lumione is an artistic platform game. Production was developed by Glimmer Studio team and was published by Perfect World Games.

Story

Lumione takes us to the fantastic land on the bottom of the ocean. A curse was cast on this picturesque world, which plunged it into darkness. The only hope to restore its former beauty is the main character named Glimmer. Answering the call of the lost light, the protagonist sets off on its trail, thus beginning a long journey full of dangers.

Mechanics

In Lumione the action is observed from the side. The game consists of an impressive number of 170 different levels. Traversing underwater environments, we jump on platforms and climb terrain obstacles as well as avoid numerous traps and other dangers. The latter include spikes protruding from the ground as well as moving lasers, sinkholes and hostile creatures.

During the game we have to show dexterity, reflexes and good mastery of the controlled character's abilities. Glimmer can not only run and jump, but also, among others, bounce off the elements of the environment like a pinball or change the direction of the "flight" after a jump. In total, there are 10 mechanics to discover and put into practice, which both add variety to the gameplay and make it progressively more difficult.

Technical issues

Lumione runs on Unreal Engine 4 technology, and the game's graphic design is kept in a colorful, cartoonish style.
