Monster Hunter Rise Gameplay

The core loop is simple: hunt a monster, carve its parts, craft better gear, hunt a bigger monster. But the execution is anything but simple. Each weapon type plays completely differently. I died. A lot. The Great Sword hits like a truck but leaves you wide open. The Insect Glaive lets you vault into the air and mount monsters for massive damage.

New mechanics shake things up. Kablobaks let you swing, dash, and wall-run across the map. Kumps are rideable companions that can sniff out monsters and even fight alongside you. Monsters like Aknosom shift shape mid-fight, forcing you to adapt on the fly. The Rampage mode turns hunting into tower defense - you set up turrets and barriers to hold off waves of creatures.
