Mai: Child of Ages is a time-travel action adventure where you follow Mai and her Grandfather through a world shaped by the Last Great War. You jump between ancient eras and dystopian futures, trying to figure out who Mai is and where the mysterious creatures come from. The game’s mechanics evolve with you: one moment you’re focused on precision platforming, the next you’re in fast, technical hack-and-slash fights. Dungeons, clues, and a broken world

You poke into ancient relics, hidden collectibles, and side challenges while gathering clues in Mai’s journey to uncover the events that led to humanity’s extinction - and what comes next. Some discoveries feel like a quiet “oh no” moment. Others are straight-up mysteries.

Master the Uroboro Stone and time-based puzzles

Mai wields the Uroboro Stone, a shapeshifting relic that manipulates time. You freeze objects in motion and rewrite the past to solve environmental and time-based puzzles. As a child, you also use newly sprouted mystical plants - each with unique properties - to navigate tricky areas. If you like puzzles that make you stop, look around, and think, you’ll get plenty of those.

Combat, crafting, and co-op support

Fights are fast and strategic. You dodge, defend, and strike with melee and ranged attacks, learning how to handle shapeshifting enemies that threaten the balance of the universe. Along the way, you use Mai’s journal to craft weapons and tools, refining how you play.

Co-op option

You can play co-op in the main adventure. The second player can take control of enemies to help you in battles (and more), with support from a primordial spirit. It’s a neat twist when you don’t want to travel alone.
